On June 2, 2022, the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, announced an investment of more than $102 million, in support of 11 new and renewed Canada Research Chairs at 35 Canadian research Institutions including the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre. Dr. Pai was one of six within the McGill cohort to receive a renewed CRC in this round.
